| Description |
The DNMT activity/inhibition assay is a non-radioactive assay for measuring the activity or inhibition of DNA methyltransferases. This sensitive ELISA-based assay utilizes the high affinity binding of methyl CpG binding domain (MBD) proteins to methylated DNA to detect DNA methyltransferase activity on the provided CpG-rich DNA substrate. The assay is performed in a 96-well plate, allows for low or high throughput screening, and is easily quantified spectrophotometrically. |
